Description of legislation: Provides a partially refundable tax credit of up to $5,000 to help pay the expenses of families who care for loved ones with chronic care needs.
People with chronic conditions or people caring for those with chronic conditions would qualify for the tax credit, which would help pay for caregiving expenses including prescription drugs, home health care, durable medical equipment, adult day care, respite care, physical and occupational therapy, and specialized services for children.
