Family Caregiving and Public Policy

Principles for Change

 

Over the course of 2003, the National Alliance for Caregiving worked with a coalition of family caregiver advocates to develop a statement of principles on family caregiving.  Taken together, these principles encompass what the coalition sees as the core needs of caregivers in the United States.

 

The principles will be formally introduced at a Town Hall meeting on Capitol Hill on February 24, 2004.  We encourage you to download, read, and share these principles.  If you represent a U.S. organization that would like to endorse the principles, we encourage you to send an e-mail expressing that interest to the address provided below.
