SUMMARY:From Insights to Action: Practical Methods for Integrating Caregivers into Care Delivery
DESCRIPTION:Building on our March webinar\, where we explored why family caregivers are essential partners in complex care\, this session will focus on how health systems are integrating them into care delivery. \nLearn how hospitals and health systems are testing\, implementing\, and expanding caregiver support programs across different caregiving contexts and patient populations. The session will also highlight resources on Medicare’s Caregiver Training Services reimbursement codes which can be leveraged to better assess and support family caregivers. \nJoin us for this important discussion outlining what it takes to support family caregivers across different health care settings.

SUMMARY:Strengthening Complex Care Through Family Caregiver Integration
DESCRIPTION:Life-saving treatments—such as organ transplant and cancer therapy—represent major clinical milestones\, but they also mark the beginning of a demanding and long-term caregiving journey. Across many areas of care\, family caregivers quickly become essential partners\, managing complex medication regimens\, coordinating frequent appointments\, monitoring symptoms\, and supporting daily recovery needs. These responsibilities continue long after discharge\, shaping long‑term wellbeing\, and influencing health outcomes over time. \nGrounded in transplant and oncology\, this session will highlight why integrating caregivers and supporting their psychosocial needs is a strategic imperative for health systems—improving patient outcomes and strengthening care delivery. The insights shared apply broadly to many serious and chronic conditions that require high levels of care coordination and caregiver support. Together\, we will explore both the clinical importance and the business case for supporting family caregivers as essential members of the care team. Participants will also receive resources for implementing or enhancing caregiver support programs. \nRegister

SUMMARY:Champions in Care Forum: Driving Caregiver Support in Healthcare Delivery
DESCRIPTION:As healthcare reforms increasingly prioritize value\, outcome\, and equity\, caregivers remain a missing link in both policy and practice. In partnership with the Coalition to Transform Advanced Care (C-TAC)\, this forum will explore policy opportunities to meaningfully integrate caregivers\, and caregiver supports\, into health care models. The National Alliance for Caregiving will discuss their work to advance the recognition and support of family caregivers in transplant care to illustrate broader challenges and policy solutions. \nRegister

SUMMARY:Breaking Down Barriers: Caregivers & the Challenges of CAR-T and BMT Requirements
DESCRIPTION:As cell therapies such as Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-Cell (CAR T) Therapy and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) continue to transform treatment options\, they also introduce unique challenges\, one of the most significant being the need for a 24/7 family caregiver during and after treatment. While these therapies offer lifesaving potential\, their success often depends not just on the clinical care but on the dedicated round-the-clock support provided by caregivers. \nObjectives: \n\nUnderstand how caregiver involvement directly impacts the success of CAR T and BMT\, from pretreatment to post-discharge support\nHighlight the multifaceted burdens caregivers experience\, including navigating the complex healthcare system and providing round-the-clock care\nShare actionable solutions to enhance the caregiver experience and improve patient outcomes\n\nRegister

SUMMARY:Gaps and Opportunities: Family Caregiver Programs in U.S. Transplant Centers
DESCRIPTION:This webinar is part of the National Alliance for Caregiving (NAC)’s ongoing advocacy and research efforts to improve support for transplant caregivers\, building on recommendations from the report\, Transplant Caregiving in the US: A Call for Systems Change. Family caregivers are the “unsung heroes” in the transplantation process\, managing waitlists\, providing long-term follow up\, assisting with complex needs\, and navigating healthcare systems. Despite these challenges\, they often go unrecognized and lack adequate support and resources. \nDuring this webinar\, NAC will share data from its latest report titled Gaps and Opportunities: Family Caregiver Programs in U.S. Transplant Centers\, which examines the policies and practices for identifying\, assessing\, and supporting family caregivers across transplant centers. The data reveals that while 70% of transplant centers offer at least one type of caregiver support program only 3% of centers conduct regular caregiver assessments. The report also issues six recommendations to ensure that family caregivers are supported throughout the transplant journey. Participants will hear from healthcare experts\, advocates\, and family caregivers about the vital role caregivers play in transplant care. This discussion will be tailored for a variety of audiences\, including transplant center providers\, patient advocacy groups\, policymakers\, and researchers to highlight the need to recognize and support family caregivers to improve patient short- and long-term health and quality of life outcomes. \nAttendees will be able to: \n\nUnderstand the role of family caregivers in the transplant care\nLearn about the availability of family caregiver support services based on a national survey of transplant centers\nIdentify the gaps and opportunities for improving support for family caregivers\nExplore the current transplant delivery system reform efforts and their impact on family caregivers
