Liz Callaghan

Liz Callaghan is a highly regarded senior executive and CEO of Carers Australia, the peak body organization that works to inform and strengthen national policy, and the community and government’s understanding of unpaid carer issues.

Liz has held previous roles in Catholic Health Australia, the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards and the Department of Management at RMIT University Melbourne.
Liz recently spent four years as CEO of Palliative Care Australia, transforming the organization into one that was values driven, community focused and all about improving end-of-life care for all Australians. Prior to joining Carers Australia, Liz worked at the Department of Health on its Aged Care Royal Commission Taskforce.
