Dr. K R Gangadharan is the founder of India’s premier private geriatric healthcare facility, Heritage Medical Centre in 1994 at Hyderabad. Thereafter, as a family business, he was involved in setting up two units of Kshetra and one unit of Kshemalayam. He has been involved with the Government of India’s Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in the formulation of National Policy on Older Persons 1999 and its review in 2010. He served the country’s highest body – National Council of Older Persons during 2006-2011 so appointed by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment .
