Dr. Abiola Keller is an Associate Professor in the College of Nursing at Marquette University. As a health equity researcher, she works with local communities to design, implement, and evaluate interventions to improve health outcomes, particularly for African American women family caregivers. Dr. Keller has received competitive funding for her research, including awards from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation New Connections program, and the Rita and Alex Hillman Foundation. Dr. Keller chairs the Near West Side Partners Healthy Community Working Team where she leads efforts to develop strategies for assessing and improving the social determinant of health and advancing health equity within the seven neighborhoods of the Near West Side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
