The National Alliance for Caregiving remains steadfast in our commitment to advancing support for our nation’s more than 53 million family caregivers providing complex care. As election results finalize across the nation, our mission remains clear and unchanging: to ensure that our country recognizes and values its family caregivers. Progress is possible. Voters in Washington State protected their landmark long-term care program, while Missouri, Nebraska, and Alaska passed paid sick leave measures.

We look forward to working with all elected officials to strengthen caregiver supports nationwide. While we actively seek common ground to advance caregiver-friendly policies and culture change, we remain steadfast in our commitment to protecting hard-won progress and will speak out firmly against any measures that could undermine essential supports for family caregivers.

We will continue to advocate for policies that support all family caregivers, drawing inspiration from their strength and determination. We believe caregiving is our common ground.
