Possibly the only expert in dementia care, LGBTQ identities, and social research in the U.S., G.J. works across disciplines to clarify disparate datasets and elevate the care dyad as a single data unit. A pandemic graduate of Texas Woman’s University, G.J. has published generational analysis of care in Advances in Gender Research and a personal account of gender and care in the Journal of Autoethnography. In 2022, G.J. was honored as a Caregiving Fellow by Caring Across Generations and featured on the Social Breakdown podcast. An adept facilitator, G.J. currently brings research insights into programming for the Alzheimer’s Association.
