Policy Fellow
Cam is a Policy Fellow at the National Alliance for Caregiving (NAC), where he supports policy advocacy efforts on behalf of America’s 63 million family caregivers. In this role, he contributes to public policy strategy and development and leads partner engagement with the Caregiver Nation Coalition.
Prior to joining NAC, Cam led strategic engagement on the Policy Advocacy and Government Affairs team at SAGE (Services & Advocacy for LGBTQ+ Elders). There, he spearheaded state-level legislative initiatives to expand anti-discrimination protections for older adults in institutional long-term care and home- and community-based settings. He also led federal campaigns advancing regulatory policy related to health equity issues, mobilizing thousands to submit public comments to various agencies.
Cam’s most formative role was serving as the primary caregiver to his mother, who lived with frontotemporal dementia for six years. He understands firsthand the extraordinary challenges and profound meaning that caregiving brings, and it is this shared experience with his mom that fuels his work across policy, research, and health system transformation.
Cam holds a Bachelor’s degree from New York University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Gerontology at the University of Southern California’s Leonard Davis School of Gerontology.
