WASHINGTON, July 26, 2024 – The National Alliance for Caregiving (NAC) announced the appointment of Kimberly Cantor as its new Chief External Affairs Officer. In this newly created role, Cantor will oversee the organization’s policy, advocacy, and communication efforts and provide strategic leadership as NAC accelerates its mission to build a society that recognizes, values, and supports America’s 53 million family caregivers.

“The National Alliance for Caregiving plays a crucial role in influencing care policy and in shaping the national conversation on caregiving,” says Kim Cantor, Chief External Affairs Officer at NAC. “I am honored to join the organization at this inflection point for the care movement, and I’m committed to helping NAC think and act boldly in support of family caregivers.”

Cantor is a strategic advocacy leader with more than 20 years of experience developing and implementing multipronged, comprehensive, aligned strategies to achieve mission driven results in healthcare. Across a spectrum of experiences with non-profit patient advocacy organizations, the private sector, and as a senior consultant with a health advocacy and communications consulting firm, Cantor has spearheaded comprehensive strategies to advance strategic priorities in patient education, community engagement, advocacy, federal policy and legislation, and health equity.

Cantor held previous roles with Pyxis Partners serving the National Institutes of Health All of Us Research Program, Lupus Foundation of America, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and CSL Vifor.

“Kim is a dynamic leader whose expertise comes at a pivotal moment for NAC,” says Jason Resendez, NAC’s president and CEO. “Her vision will be instrumental in driving our mission forward, creating a lasting impact for family caregivers as we transform systems to better address their needs.”
